On Hatred and Freaks of Nature

So, last night, my loving husband was listening to a video of Sean Hannity.  I have no idea who the guest was, I admit it.  But he spoke about how he wouldn’t have been so patient with the people who had just killed our people.  Great.  Freaking fabulous.  Let’s get somebody really angry, when we aren’t already angry enough??  I ABSOLUTELY do not disagree with what he said; it’s how he said it.  I say either we trust President Trump or we don’t, but hate-filled speech doesn’t hurt our enemies.  It hurts us.  We are killing each other.  We don’t need another enemy to take us out.  We are already our own worst enemies.

So I start thinking about the freaks of nature who are already upset.  They hear this and find a trigger.  A trigger that possibly shoots up a high school, or a church, or a bar.  And I cringe.  Again, either we trust that Trump knows what he’s doing or we don’t.  Second guessing, spewing obvious crap that will only piss off the few crazies among us is just dumb.

Dumb — as in bars, schools, churches, etc, getting to have a mass shooting happen to them.  Yeah, I’m The Middle in this relationship.  I’m just waiting for The Right to respond.
